Olson Mourns the Tragic Shootings at Fort Hood

Rep. Pete Olson today issued the following statement in response to the tragedy that occurred at Fort Hood military installation resulting in the deaths of 13 people and 31 wounded:

 “I received personal assurances from the 1st Brigade 75th Division that their soldiers in Fort Hood are all okay and were not hurt in the tragedy.  Ft. Hood is one of the best Army installations in the world and I have great confidence in their leadership and the military police.  I remain on alert and stand by ready to offer any assistance that may be needed.  My thoughts and prayers go out to the victims, their families and everyone in the impacted communities as they struggle to grieve and make sense of this tragedy.  America is praying with you and for you.”
