Congressman Pete Olson (TX-22) today was joined by Stafford Mayor Leonard Scarcella to award former Stafford Police Officer and Marine Ann Carrizales with the Congressional Badge of Bravery. On October 26, 2013, Ann was shot in the face, neck and chest while in the line of duty. Despite her injuries, Officer Carrizales chased the shooters through two counties and managed the scene.

Rep. Pete Olson (R-TX) today voted to bring increased accountability and transparency to the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). Olson co-sponsored and voted for H.R. 1994, the VA Accountability Act, which will grant the VA Secretary more authority to remove any VA employee based on poor performance or misconduct. The bill passed the House by a vote of 256 to 170.
