Rep. Pete Olson (TX-22) on Saturday welcomed a group of 50 high schools students to serve on his 2015-2016 Congressional Youth Advisory Council (CYAC). The advisory council is comprised of a group of high school students from across the congressional district who serve as Olson’s advisors on issues critical to the youth of America.
Congressman Pete Olson (TX-22) today was joined by Stafford Mayor Leonard Scarcella to award former Stafford Police Officer and Marine Ann Carrizales with the Congressional Badge of Bravery. On October 26, 2013, Ann was shot in the face, neck and chest while in the line of duty. Despite her injuries, Officer Carrizales chased the shooters through two counties and managed the scene.

Rep. Pete Olson (R-TX) today voted to bring increased accountability and transparency to the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). Olson co-sponsored and voted for H.R. 1994, the VA Accountability Act, which will grant the VA Secretary more authority to remove any VA employee based on poor performance or misconduct. The bill passed the House by a vote of 256 to 170.
