Rep. Pete Olson (TX-22) today announced that Tim Chou Jr. of Missouri City, TX has received an appointment to the U.S. Military Academy at West Point for the fall of 2016. Chou is a freshman at Baylor University, a graduate of Hightower High School and a TX-22 resident. He is currently a Cadet Private in the Army ROTC and a member of the Army ROTC Color Guard.

Rep. Pete Olson (TX-22) today announced that Triona Swanson of Sugar Land, TX has received an appointment to the U.S. Naval Academy for the fall of 2016. Swanson is a senior at St. Agnes College Preparatory Academy. She is an avid runner; Captain of her Varsity Cross Country Team and has competed in several triathlons.

Rep. Pete Olson (R-TX) today acted to enhance access to federal lands for sportsmen and protect Second Amendment rights. Olson voted in support of H.R. 2406, the Sportsmen’s Heritage and Recreational Enhancement (SHARE) Act. This bill would promote greater opportunities and safeguard the rights of hunters, anglers and recreational shooters.  The bill passed by a vote of 242-161.

Today, U.S. Reps. Pete Olson (R-TX), Mike Doyle (D-PA), Dave Reichert (R-WA), and Bill Pascrell (D-NJ) introduced H.R. 4614, the Medicare Access to Radiology Care Act of 2016.  This bipartisan legislation would allow for Medicare coverage of qualified radiology assistant (RA) services.
