EPA'S LATEST AIR REGULATIONS ARE CLASSIC FEDERAL OVERREACH
Washington, DC- Rep. Pete Olson (R-Sugar Land) today issued the following statement in response to today’s announcement of new EPA air regulations for oil and gas production:
"This latest wave of EPA regulations targeting the oil and gas industry leaves no doubt that the Obama Administration’s true motive is to make domestic oil and gas more expensive. Yet again, we have a one-size-fits-all approach to regulating an industry that varies widely across this great country. These new requirements will impose even higher costs on job creators which, combined with a lack of equipment needed to comply, will significantly impact the rate of drilling. And who do you think will suffer the most? Small businesses, their employees, and American consumers - that's who.
"This type of regulation is best left to the states as it always has been, not Washington bureaucrats."
