Olson Applauds Senate Confirmation of Bolden and Garver to Head NASA

Rep. Pete Olson, the Ranking Member of the House Science and Technology, Space Subcommittee, today issued the following statement in support of the Senate confirmation of General Charles Bolden as Administrator of NASA and Lori Garver, as Deputy Administrator of NASA:

“I am pleased that NASA finally has its leadership team in place and I congratulate Administrator Charles Bolden and Deputy Administrator Lori Garver on their confirmations.   That this team is headed by General Bolden, a man of experience and inspiration, encourages me as the agency faces the enormous challenges ahead.  Working together, we must secure a path for NASA’s future, particularly for its human spaceflight program, worthy of the achievements of its past, which we celebrate during this Apollo 11 anniversary week.  America’s exploration agency needs to become that again, and with Administrator Bolden at the helm I believe it will.”
