SUGAR LAND, TX – Rep. Pete Olson (TX-22) on Saturday held a meeting of his Congressional Youth Advisory Council (CYAC). The CYAC is a select group of high school students that meet with Congressman Olson to discuss various issues – this session focused on bitcoin and the future of digital currency. Dr. Jim Granato, the Executive Director of the Hobby School of Public Affairs at the University of Houston was this session’s guest speaker.

“These bright students continue to impress me with their knowledge, interest and engagement in current issues,” Rep. Pete Olson said. “Hearing directly from these students helps me better understand the priorities of today’s youth. It was a pleasure to hear their opinions, as well as the thoughts of Dr. Granato on important topics like digital currency.”
