OLSON: POTUS MORE OF THE SAME FAILED ENERGY POLICIES
Washington, DC- Rep. Pete Olson (R-Sugar Land) today issued the following statement in response to President Obama's energy speech in New Hampshire:
"The President's comments reflect his policies: incoherent, unreliable, divisive and desperate. Standing up for a reliable and affordable source of energy is standing up for America - and the nine million jobs that come with it. In a weak economy, with gas prices around $4 per gallon, the last thing we should do is make it more expensive to produce energy. Hiking costs on the industry that provides our nation with affordable energy is ridiculous. Trying to replace US oil with alternative energy through taxpayer subsidies will simply escalate the cost of gasoline and overall energy prices.
